Jerry Friedman
Jerry is Chairman and CEO of the Marvin Group, which he has led for 50 years. Its current consolidated group of companies include: Marvin Engineering Co., Inc. (MEC); Marvin Land Systems, Inc. (MLS); Marvin Test Solutions, Inc.(MTS); Clean Water Technologies (CWT); and Flyer Defense LLC.
Jerry holds a B.S. in Accounting (Summa Cum Laude) and a M.B.A., both from UCLA where he was also president of Beta Gamma Sigma (Business Honorary) and No. 1 in his graduating class. He is a veteran of the United States Army where he served as a 1st Lt. in the Artillery Corps.
A big sports enthusiast, Jerry has competed in the International Maccabiah Games representing the United States where he earned two Gold and one Silver Medal in tennis during 2005. He was also a member of the UCLA Men’s Basketball team under legendary coach John Wooden and locally was "All City" at Hollywood High in basketball.
Howard Gussman
Howard is the President of Marvin Engineering Co., Inc. and The Marvin Group. Mr. Gussman was appointed to his current position in November of 2008.
A 25-year Marvin Engineering Company veteran, Mr. Gussman has extensive experience overseeing business performance and strategic growth initiatives at the Los Angeles-based company as well as overseeing enterprise-wide efforts to continuously improve productivity and competitiveness of the business.
David Gussman
David’s career dates back to 1990, where he started in Production and Program Management, before receiving the leadership role over Programs in 2002. In his current role as Executive Vice President, David oversees the Marvin Group’s supply chain, inclusive of Purchasing and Operations. Additionally, he is responsible for the regulated areas of Global Trade Compliance, Facility Security, and Information Technology. David has spearheaded the continued evolution of the business, playing an instrumental role in the development of corporate mission and vision statements and the rollout of Lean manufacturing throughout MEC. A key result of this effort is the opening of a new state-of-the-art Material Fulfillment Center which is integral to the external supply chain and will support the organic growth of the Marvin Group and service its customers more efficiently and effectively.
