LAU-117 (Maverick Missile Launcher)

The LAU-117 is available in two variations which attach to the aircraf with a 14 inch or 30 inch lug suspension and are capable of launching a single AGM-65 Maverick Missile (all models). The launcher provides a mechanical and electrical interface between the aircraft and the missile.

Stores fired from this launcher are ignited and missile thrust propels the store to slide forward, disengage from launch and fly to target.

The LAU-117(V)2/A is integrated with AV-8B, F/A-18A-F and P-3C.

The LAU-117A(V)3/A is integrated with the above aircraft as well as A-10, F-15E, and F-16.
